Call to order by Joanne Thomas, President.

The meeting was attended by John M. Smith. The meeting was held at the Area Agency on Aging for Lincolnland in Springfield, IL.

Minutes & Treasurer's Report - John Smith & Julie Hubbard. A financial report was distributed. All but three AAAs have paid their ESP fees. IAS has an NGA for the Nutrition Consultant contract.

ESP Update - John Smith & Joy Paeth. Generic logons was discussed. No changes for one year.

Registered Dietitian Contract Update - Julie Hubbard, There will be a new contract in FY2010. It will be broken into two 6-month contracts.

Report from Nominations Committee and Election of Officers - Deb Kuiken, Lucia Jones, & Julie Hubbard, President - John Smith, Vice-President - Grant Nyhammer, Secretary - Deb Kuiken, and Treasurer - Jan Stille

The By-Laws should be revisited to make officers terms more than one year.

Evidence-Based Health Program - Mike O'Donnell. A three-year grant is being proposed for submittal to AoA / Retirement Research Foundation / IDOA /other entity for an evidence-based health program for up to ten AAA's that do not have this program currently. IAS would be the recipient of the grant. Grant monies would be used to hire a master trainer to train local AAA's on evidenced-based health programs, market the programs, and disseminate information and health products statewide. Some monies would be awarded to AAA's that participate for their activities related to the grant.

Establishing Springfield as Registered Agent with State - The registered agent and mailing address for the IAS business will be located at the AAA in Springfield.

Compensation to Springfield AAA for Clerical Assistance - The AAA for Springfield will make a financial assistance.

IAS as the Fiscal Intermediary between the VD-HCBS FMA and AAA's - IAS would still have to have 13 contracts with AAA's and one with the FMA. However, there could be a contract with 13 AAA's on it. This is not a good idea since we would be liable if there is one contract.

Ameri-Corp Volunteers - Would IAS want to be a contractor for ten volunteers who can be located at up to ten difference volunteer sites? The problem is the match, health insurance of volunteers, and reporting requirements.

The meeting was adjourned at 5:30 pm.
